Six tournaments are held in Japan each year as follows:
January, May, September: TOKYO
March: Osaka
July: Nagoya
November: Fukuoka
Each tournament lasts around 15 days, giving visitors a reasonable chance of getting tickets
where to get tickets:
Get it online 2 months in advance on either the official sumo association website or through travel agencies like JTB or HIS and others
