Kototoi Dango is a traditional Japanese sweet. These round dumplings, which are NOT skewered, typically come in three flavors: red bean, miso, and white bean paste.
Since they don’t contain additives, it’s best to enjoy them on the day of purchase.
At Mukojima Kototoi Dango in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, you can savor these dango with a cup of green tea. They also offer monaka (light, crisp wafers) filled with red bean paste and white bean paste.
Opened in the late Edo period, the shop exudes a traditional ambiance. There’s even a cozy area with a low table tatami area seating, perfect for embracing those authentic Edo vibes!
