6. Just learned about these お守り / omamori or lucky charms that you can get at the Sumo Museum in Ryogoku Kokugikan National Sumo Arena 両国国技館 and I wish I got more! 🍀💫🥺📍💕✨
7. Two things I learned about 🍲chankonabe🍲: ① It originated in Tokyo, ② In sumo, four-legged animals are seen as unlucky because if your hands touch the floor, you lose the match… therefore, traditionally chankonabe was only made with chicken stock!! 🍲🐓🏆
8. Every time I look at 墨田川 I either think about Perfect Days or the time Ray had a birthday on a yakatabune…笑 🛥️🎂✨
9. Took a quick break in the 墨田区立旧安田庭園 / Former Yasuda Garden and it was v peaceful. 🥺🌳🦆🦋☀️✨
10. Sometimes I wish that I grew up in a family where we specialized in making a specific Japanese craft (like this beautiful hand-painted木札 / kifuda) but then also idk maybe not because of the pressure….!!!?? 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️
