Known as Tokyo's "Sumo Town," it offers a blend of culture, history, and delicious food.
Here's where I went on my walking tour:
📍 Ryogoku Kokugikan: The iconic sumo stadium and home of Japan’s national sport. You can even
visit the Sumo Museum inside for free when no matches are on!
📍 Edo Noren: An Edo-style atrium with traditional Japanese restaurants and a sumo ring on
display—perfect for a cultural dining experience and unique souvenirs.
📍 Chanko Kirishima: A must-visit to try chanko nabe, the hearty hotpot that fuels sumo wrestlers. It's
warm, flavorful, and so filling!
📍 Former Yasuda Garden: A peaceful traditional Japanese garden with koi ponds, beautiful seasonal
views, and even a view of Tokyo Skytree —perfect for a serene stroll after all that food.
