⚔️Se siete interessati alle spade giapponesi, segnatevi di visitare il Japanese Sword Museum nel quartiere di Sumida a Tokyo.

⚔️A pochi passi dallo stadio del Sumo e dal piccolo ma molto carino e gratuito giardino Yasuda (di cui si ha una bella vista dal rooftop del museo) potete visiatare questo museo interamente dedicato alle spade giapponese e all’arte del crearle.

⚔️Fondato dalla Society for Preservation of Japanese Art Swords per prevenire l’estinzione di questa arte, ospita una collezione di spade e katane (tra cui una appertenuta a Uesigi Kenshin) intervallata da diverse esibizioni durante l’anno.

⚔️Durante la mia ultima visita ho potuto ammirare katane e spade moderne, create meglio ultimi 2/3 anni da artigiani che portano avanti questa antica tradizione, come il maestro Matsunaga di Arao che ho visitato qualche anno fa (trovate il post sul blog).

🇬🇧If you are interested in Japanese swords, make sure to visit the Japanese Sword Museum in the Sumida district of Tokyo.

⚔️A few steps from the Sumo stadium and the small but very nice and free Yasuda garden (of which you have a beautiful view from the museum rooftop) you can visit this museum entirely dedicated to Japanese swords and the art of creating them.

⚔️Founded by the Society for Preservation of Japanese Art Swords to prevent the extinction of this art, it hosts a collection of swords and katanas (including one that belonged to Uesigi Kenshin) interspersed with various exhibitions throughout the year.

⚔️During my last visit I was able to admire modern katanas and swords, created best in the last 2/3 years by artisans who carry on this ancient tradition, like the Matsunaga Sensei of Arao who I visited a few years ago (find the post on the blog ).
